This brief summary stresses the concept that to best use pathology in cancer, the pathologist must not isolate himself. He must work intimately with the clinicians. This integration of interests, whether it be with the internist, radiologist or surgeon, strengthens accuracy of diagnosis, better treatment of the patient, and greater understanding of cancer.
