About the cover: The graph on the cover, adapted from the article "Cancer Disparities," shows differences in cancer survival by race/ethnicity and area poverty. For all races combined and most race/ethnic groups, the probability of surviving cancer for five years after diagnosis is lower for residents of poorer, compared with more affluent, census tracts. Even at similar levels of poverty, members of some racial and ethnic minority groups have lower survival than Whites.
